Message: I am pretty sure I remember hearing that the 3.7L V-6 will eventually replace all 3.9L V-6 engines and all 4.0L I-6 engines. It's design is very similar to the 4.7L V-8, has more HP than the 3.9L and the 4.0L, but not quite as much torque as the 4.0L.

Message: thats because it is still relatively new, and last time i checked, which is often, for my 3.9, there isnt much in the way of real performance for them either, but it does give you more of a starting block for power, with the 210 hp

I remember reading in Edmunds that the new 2004 (or was it 2005?) Dakota will have the Hemi in it.

Message: dont forget guys, the numbers for fuel economy dont come from Dodge, the EPA is who rates them, but remember, they also said it was safe to live in Love Canal, NY, and it was ok to build an elementary school over a dump, so i never believe their estimates anyway

Message: The 4.7 is in a class of its own. With those 2 extra cylinders it magicly produces water in the oil thats why they need the magic water remover under the oil fill cap. Last time i looked under the cap of my 3.9 or anyother engine i have ever owned i did not see any water or white sludge.

Message: You will find water vapor in many engines. The only difference is how the vapor is expelled (or not in the case of the 4.7L).
