1987 I believe. Might have been made in 87 and released as an 88 but I think 87 is th first

KrawDaddy is right, they first year for the Dak was '87, they had the 2.2litre and the 3.9, both were carbed.
I think late '88 was the first for FI.
I had an '89 3.9 FI with the first O/D auto.
