You speak highly of the Autolite 3923s, will they work on a V8 (5.2L - 1995). I thought the goal behind the spark plug was to vaporize the air/fuel mixture, just wondering how a cooler heat range fully burns this mixture better?

Also, I have planned on getting ES9000s for my 4x4 (that was before a $1300 transfer case rebuild shot my modification nest egg!) Want to know what your experience has been with them. I still have the stock shocks on the truck with 79000 miles, they don't bounce much until I am towing, then I have to take Dramamine for motion sickness.

The 3923's are a standard tip, one heat range cooler plug. This takes away some of the "pinging" that a lot of people, with the Gen-III Daks, have been experiencing. (Doesn't work all the time though...other factors involved as well.)

Jon Smith ('95 4x4) has Dyno tested the 3923's in his truck and found that they made about 4-5HP more than the factory plugs.

The plugs don't burn the mixture, they just send the initial spark...which is what ignites the air/fuel mixture (that burns by itself). The reason for the cooler plugs is to draw some of th eheat out of the combustion chamber...avoiding detonation and gaining a few HP in the process.

On the ES9000's...i've had the original set installed for over a year with plenty of offroad "abuse" (and a few 'launches') without ANY problems. On the street, they firmed up the handling characteristics as well and made it drive more like a truck than an old, mushy riding gun-boat. Well worth the $30/ea.
