Hello, good people of the Dakota persuation...
I noticed this a few weeks ago and it's not easy to describe, so here goes:
The sound is coming from the Front driver side wheel. When I'm driving and turn left or just slightly adjust my direction left, I hear a droning sound. Upon return to center, all is mostly quiet--the droning sound is hardly noticeable.
Now at first I thought it might be the tires, but I just put a new set of BF Goodrich on today and same kind of drone.
Has anyone any idea what it may be, or can point me in the right direction?

Sounds like you might have a wheel bearing going bad. This usually is noticeable when in a turn. If you have a lot of miles on your pick up or drive it a lot of rain or mud, that could be the problem. Jack your front end up and see if you have play in the wheel bearing.

No, My Rectum, it could not be a fart. I don't have enough gas in me to produce such a sound even after eating a few cans of Great Northen beans....
