Subject: v6 surging IP: Logged
Message: The first start of the day when I slowly accelerate through my neighborhood I get surging under light throttle.
By the time I get to the top of my street 1/2 mile or so it seems to be fine. No codes or anything. The rest of the starts are fine its just the first one.
Thought it may be my 3923s so I swapped those out for some NGKs but it still does it.
Its an 2002 with only 5k.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Message: Sorry didn't read that properly. Do you have new plug wires? Should try the TSB on wire reroutes for pinging problems. Check the tranny fluid for milky consistency or bubbles on the dip stick.

Message: I don't have new wires and I think the wire rerouting only applies to the earlier Gen III models.
I thought about the tranny but it feels like the engine stumbling. I already checked the tranny fluid but its ok.

Message: Check your TPS sensor for voltage surges when it is moved. If the voltage is spurratic the sensor should be replaced.
