I just got off the phone with the muffler shop who just did an inspection of my catalytic converter and muffler. They said they were both o.k. and there were no clogs or plugs in either. I have no idea what to do now, because I still dont know what the problem is. If you remeber my old thread, I said my Dak was acting like the tranny was slipping by making the engine sound like it was reving alot but it wasnt. Then, after it settled dow, I could hear a loud rattle from under my truck, Some of you said it was tthe cat and now that it checks out o.k., what should I have looked at next?
I also used this experience to tell my parents a little white lie that the muffler guy said my muffler was shot so I could get in on the gibson group buy. It is very encouraging to hear your parents tell you to get something that will make my Dak faster and meaner sounding! hehehe.

When my Dakota started to feel like it was "slipping", and maybe missing a gear every now and then, I came to find out that my tranny was low on oil! You might check that....The tranny ALWAYS needs to be filled up. Unlike engine oil, which can run low once in a while and be ok, the tranny must always be filled up to the top. You may be running a little low....????
