 Subject: Stampede body kit from dealer??

I went down to the dealer today to price just the side skirts from the Dakota Stampede/ R/T, and for 6 pieces (reg cab) it totaled around $2000. Does this seem right, I about told the lady she had to be on something for a price that high? I could get the whole sniper kit for that and that is like 11 pieces.

get a stillen front fascia ($275+100 paint) with grill inserts($75), then get a SS one horizontal bar grill shell with 2 peice inserts (175+50 paint) then get the hood of your choice (399-899+paint) then get the sniper side skirts and exhaust setup (600?) then a checkermate hard flush cover (350+paint) then a low profile cervinis wing (250+50 paint) and u will have a nice custom looking truck but not riced out (like the front of the sniper kit) , it will look very sporty. if u have any questions , or want to see pics of these parts, just ask, also u would have to throw in some ss mirrors (80+ 40paint) and some rims if u dont have RT rims

with all that what would constitute a ricer then? lol j/k...although I think any truck with a spoiler (other than Nascar) is pretty ricer. good prices though.

$2000 probably sounds about right from a stealership at list retail prices. When I ordered my '03 I priced the Stampede package and it was a joke even at a $1300 option, IMO. That, and an auto tranny and block heater are the only options I passed on on my 03 2wd 4.7L RC.

hey, cmon, the spoiler i talked about is like a 2 inch lift, its not some ricer spoiler. better yet, just get the lund backdraft spoiler, u can hardly know its there. u know the innovations hard cover with built in wing for 1200 dollars? well thats like a nascar truck, and thats what i meant by the cervinis wing, also the sniper kit has that wing included in it and it looks perfect
