Message: Ever since I bought my 94 V6er, I've always wanted to put an Extreme in the dust. Last night I finally got a chance to play with one, boy was he afraid! I drove down a 10 mile stretch, the first 5 miles he kept a good 10 car length distance from me. After that I slowed to 25-30 mph (in a 45!) so he could have a look. Still kept the same distance, until he finally had some guts and came up behind me. He took one look at my duals and imedately slowed back down and hid behind some other cars in traffic. Man was I pissed! I wanted to walk that thing, in truck trend they had one do the 1/4 in 17.20. With my G-Tech, I've run constant 15.8's - 16.1's, dyno'd at 170 rear HP. Just thought I'd tell some people how cared, my girlfriend is getting sick of hearing about it!

It's a 94 SLT Regular cab short bed. Its has the 22 gallon tank with the 3.55 gears in the rear. The truck has about 41,000 miles on it and it's an automatic. It's a good runner and only has the timming chain knock (which was replaced when the original owner had it, DIDN'T HELP!)I test drove a 2001 Dakota with the AWD that shuts off at 25 mph. It had the 4.7 and 3.55 gears and it sucked! I suppose it would do good for idiots that
don't have a clue how to drive in the snow or rain! The $26,000 price tag kinda convinced me to save my truck for awhile.
Hey Bernd, whats the statis on the Flometrics Throttle body for the V6? Would I fail the snifer with the TB? IS it 48mm? What kind of power would my truck make with it?

Doubt it would fail on the sniffer (visual it would...if the Smog Nazi knew what to look for). ;)
Bruce is finishing up the TB's sometime this next week and i'll be receiving one of the first for testing on the Dyno. As soon as I get the numbers, you'll see my post here (and on other lists as well).
I know it's not a good comparison to what you're looking for, but check out the Flometrics Billet TB Test link from this web-boards "Links" page.

I just got word today that the idiot that totaled my last dakota filed for bankruptcy. I used to have a 94 Sport, almost the same as my SLT but had 95,000 miles and a whole lot of frame rust. February 18,2000 I was t-boned by this drunk doing 45mph in a 25. He put me into a street light and totaled my truck with his Beretta (man, I hate those things). Turns out he had no insurance, no license, no nothing (brains)and he had a blood/alcohol of .29, not bad for a guy who was about 250 Ibs. He hit me behind the drivers side door, cops said he would of killed me if he hit my door. Only got $5,000 for the truck, originaly paid $7,000 when I bought it the august before. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that this was his 3rd DUI and he had about (honestly)13 other lawsuits against him, including one filed by his own mother!!!!! Boy oh boy, I'm gonna frame the picture of where his head went through the windshield!
