Subject: K&N filter only IP: Logged
Message: I get different opinions about this from auto parts stores.
I have a 2000 4.7 CC.
I dont race it, but do use it for towing a travel trailer. Other than that, only daily driving.
I am considering a K&N filter for just a little more power or mileage.
I am told sometimes that I cant put it in by itself without changing to dual exhaust. Some tell me that if too much air in and not enough of a way out will not be good.
Can I use a drop in filter without adding other things and will doing this even help me any at all?
Thanks

Message: hahahahhahahahahahahhaa, what kind of idiots have you been talking to? of course you can just put in a K&N filter without any other mods. unless you are building an 8 second dak, theres no problem.

Message: Me too, tows great. Don't look for a big gain here, but reusable filter will pay for itself over time.
