Message: Does anyone have info on what changes there will be? I know there is a redesign coming. I found this site which gives a little info.

I will need to trade my Ram between now and November, but I'm not really sure whether to take advantage of the current deals or to wait for 2004 improvements.

Message: DC is continuing with the same lineup until the 2005 model year, then the new Dak will feature updated sheet metal and a stiffer hydroformed chassis. The new sheet grille is supposed to bear a striking resemblence to the Ram.
As of now the whole 2005 update is on hold pending a decision to continue with the same dimensions or downsize the Dakota into a compact.

Message: As long as the Dakota still comes with a V8 and is covered in plastic crap i'll get another one. Otherwise...time for somethin new.

Message: Looks lke I'm looking for something other than Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep when my current dak is old.
Jeep getting rid of the 4.0L straight-6
Jeep getting rid of the Grand Cherokee (redesigned into a Mercedes - ugh)
Jeep getting rid of the Wrangler (possibly), or switching the front axle for IFS
What's the point of keeping the name "Jeep" anymore?
The Dakota being made smaller, and more like that boxy THING, the M80. And I thought the bed of my QC was too small for most applications!
The Durango still being based on the Dakota, means it will be just as ugly.
This thing looks like it has a worse plastic to metal ration than my sportbike!
The RAM already looks like a whale-shark with tiny little tires. What good is that huge gaping grill, other than to swallow stones and small humans?
And the Chrysler cars...
All I can say is, the missus decided she's staying with the Pontiac Grand Am.
C'mon Chrysler. Fire these ignorant "designers" and get someone who can bring the pride back into owning one of your product line!
