 Subject: Hummer H2 Raced!

I was on my way home and this guy was messin around in traffic and we ended up at the lights together and he stayed with me for two blocks and then backed off cause of speed. I knew my dakota was heavy but it must be heavier than i thought or the new hummers are fast i don't know. Or does this tell me how slow my dakota really is??

well, car and driver did a story about bracket racing and they were using the new H2 because they liked the looks and it had a V8 and automatic (autos are more consistent), and it stopped the clocks at earth-shattering times of consistent 17.7s, what is your year\trim level\engine?

My truck is a 2003 quad cab sport plus 4x4, 5.9, 3.55 posi, skid plates every option plus leather. Around 4600 curb weight I think. nothing but a new air intake and k&n filter. But I didn't think it was this slow, it feels faster. oh well. Mine still looks better!!!!

Since you've got the 4x4 just move up to 4.10 gears. Then it won't feel so slow. The gears you've got don't do you any justice.

Dude you need to get a two wheel drive. I've got a 2000 dakota club cab with a 4.7 liter and it will eat up the pavement, K&N, dual flowmasters, and 3.55 gears. Those 4.7 liter V8's are very suprising.

h2 can be fast, my friends h2 does a low 14 sec 1/4(with his sounds and everything inside)

this is funny that there is a post about this because I just crushed an H2 this weekend. I have a 04' Durango with the Hemi, 3.92. The only mods I have are removal of the rubber flap, K&N drop in filter and I'm running Royal Purple. We were kind of messing around in traffic and we ended up at the stop light together. We both agreed to give it a go and I owned him for the length of the race (about a 1/4 mile), I don't know about you 4.7 or 3.9 guys but he couldn't hang with my CARAVANGO!!
