Subject: Leaking front brakes IP: Logged
Message: I just replace the front pads on a 90 Dakota 2WD and it is leaking on both sides where the lines enter the caliper. Didn't leak when I first bled them. Took them back apart and cleaned them and put it back together, still leaks.
So, do I need new copper washers, tighten the heck out of them or??
Somebody below posted that the pads do not have rivets, funny the old and new ones I have do have rivets and no wear sensor, noise maker...

Message: Anytime you do a brake job you should replace the copper washers on the banjo fittings. That's very cheap insurance.

Message: Next time I will plan ahead rather than be looking for copper washers on a Sunday afternoon in a small town.
