Subject: Clutch problem??? IP: Logged
Message: Yesterday when i was driving my dak, i noticed that the clutch catch point had changed from the middle to almost an inch off the floor. It changed while i was driving but i didn't hear any mechanical noises. So that freaked me out a bit but when i parked, i could smell my clutch as if i had been slipping it trying to parralel park it on a hill. Everything works fine but just different. Any ideas what it could be? Its a 2000 V6 standard(obviously) with about 55k miles

Message: Could be the t/o bearing, or the clutch plate hanging up on the shaft of the trans. Saw one in the shop just a few days ago....had "like" a hard, sticky varnish build up on the shaft....was really bad when the truck was warmed up.
