Subject: Cam Problem IP: Logged
Message: We installed the HO cams in my 2001 4.7L, and when we were finished we fired it up and it sounded good so we cut it off to finish hooking up the air box. After we did this we started it and it ran for about 10 secs and just cut off. We checked fuses, fuel and everything looked good except it wasn't getting a spark from the plug. It cranks fine but just won't fire. If you can help me it will be appreciated thanks.

Message: Sounds alot like the cam position sensor, on the front, bottom or the Passenger side cam, is at fault. That'd be my guess. Did you loosen it or anything?

Message: Is that the one on the bottom of the head on the passenger side? Is it bad? What can I do to fix it?
