Just picked up new 03 Dakota slt ,4.7 auto Quad cab 4X4 graphite and would like to know which tow hitch and tongue weight rating to install to pull a 4700 lb total loaded weight travel trailer.

Get a class three receiver and the electrical connector complete with harness, both available at your Mopar parts counter.
A quality equalizer hitch such as Reese with bars rated according to your trailer/hitch weight.
Also an electronic brake controller which eliminates the hydraulic line into the cab.
