Message: I'd say sure, it's possible, depending on how you do it, and how careful you are. Around here, we can get trailers for one-ton duallies that are longer than a city bus and have three 7000-lb axles. Could get a dozen cattle or horses in it; BUT loaded behind a V6 Dak with gooseneck hitch you might just get it moving up to 40mph on level hard ground, in 2nd or 3rd gear. Not recommended, but possible. The other extreme of just driving the truck around empty all the time, is just as silly.
The truck is made for towing, has gears, and has a conservative, published weight rating. Should be easy to figure out what kind of electric-brake trailer you can pull with it. Let's say just for argument that you've got a 4600-lb tow rating. That would rate a mini-gooseneck with two 3500-lb axles (maybe not fully-loaded, but could handle at least the truck's rating). Can't say what a goat weighs, but it should comfortably take 3 milk cows. Steady cruise in 4th at 50 mph is all you need. Now if you're driving steep mountain passes, pulling a bear trap with one very irritated and active black bear in it, then you might want to back off a certain amount on the weight you're pulling. So it depends what your other limits are, but surely it's possible to pull a mini-gooseneck stock trailer.

Message: This may not be exactly what you are looking for, but I pulled a 3000 lbs. travel trailer with my 95 Club Cab V6 all over the US. It was still running great at 126,000 miles when I traded it in on a 03 Quad cab (kids too big for back seat of Club Cab). I didn't pull it up any major mountains (The Smokies don't count), but I did get some really strong head winds around Amarillo. It was comfortable at 70 mph on level ground. It did slow down on hills, but not so much that it was a bother. I could always out run the semi's.

Message: THanks, the goats that i have weigh between 95-200lbs. So im assuming with the information you have given me that a small electric brakes trailer should be no problem with about 10 head in it.
Thanks,
Ben

Message: My father in law pulls a 30' stock trailer with 2 horse in it, behind his chevy1500 V6. It is also a gooseneck trailer.
