 Subject: A/C Blues

Now that the weather is warming up here in south Texas(the heat index today was 105 and expected to 110 tomorrow)I've been running my a/c. With that, the a/c seems to making a funny sound. As my 10 year old sez: "Dad your truck sounds like my cd reader on my computer". As I accelerate I can hear a winning sound that goes along with the acceleration. Then this evening driving home, I turned the a/c off at at red light then turned it on a little further down the road, I observed vapor coming out of the a/c vents. Should I be concerned about either of these. I never noticed the winning on my 97 V-6 CC Dak. Just curious about this on my 2000 4.7 QC.
