I just installed upper and lower billet grilles from Steel horse on '01 Dak. Did anyone else have a hell of time doing it?
I'm glad I had a friend, plasma cutter, grinder, patience, beer, and 3hr.s to do it. Maybe they put the wrong one's in the bag,,. Just curious if anyone else had troubles.

i didnt put the bottom on yet, but it only took me like 45 minutes, and a cordless drill with the a 5/16" socket bit, and some drill bits to cut off the release handle.
i have no plasma cutter so i had to do it ghetto style : drill 3 holes, bend back and forth, break off.
i believe i also mounted it upside down, because the grill still needed to attach to the reinforcement bars, and i have a 2002.
however it looks perfect.
how was installing the bumper piece?

The bottom only took like 30min.s (most spent looking for drill bits. Just took a little muscle to get that last hanger in there good,,but very easy.
The uppers look great, but I had to grind down hangers for the radiator, and then cut notches in the grille itself so they would clear a pair of bolts holding the radiator to the frame,,,sucked. Plus the release kit sucked. I'm gonna fab up my own. I think they just sent me the wrong kit. I had to cut the middle support bar in the grille, plus there was two tabs on the billet grille that didn't attach to anything.....
