Message: I dont want to have to take my bed liner off so im just wondering if there are two metal layers to the bed. I mean is there the one that is facing outward, then maybe a small gap, then another where the liner is screwed into? Im asking this because i have a dent above the rear tire. I need to know if i can take off the liner and bang it out, or if i have to get between the two layers.
ill make it easy for you. type "1" for 1 layer, or "2" for two layers. thanks!

Message: Well, you didn't exactly tell what year Dakota, but most pickups have an inner and outer layer. THe two are usually spot-welded together.
So the answer is:
2
