Message: Anyone know where I can get a 180-deg Tstat for the 4.7L engine? None of the auto parts store carry ANYTHING for the 4.7L Dakotas.

Message: If you would have looked in the archives, you know, do a search, you would find that you can't ask them for a 180 for a 4.7!
they look in books, it ain't in a book.
as Smitty said,
It's the
Robert Shaw GT755-180, you can find it in the aisles at Autozone.
Use the same gasket!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do a search and get great installation tips asnd tricks!!!!!!!!!

Message: Already did, but wanted to purchase a Robert Shaw Tstat locally. Greater Phoenix Autozone, Checkers, and Pep Boys do not carry Robert Shaws...only the Stants. Of course I didn't call EVERY single location, but the ones I did call do not carry anything but Stant.

Message: My local Autozone carries them so you should be able to get yours to order you one in. Just tell them you want the Robertshaw GT755-180. If they ask you what it is for tell them it is none of their da@n business and just get one in. Some of the Autozones carry them, usually in the aisle, not in the back, so you know they can get one in for you.
