Message: To get out swirl marks and minor scratches, I would suggest Meguiar's Scratch-X. Wax just bonds with the paint to protect it and shine it up. Scratch removers actually fill in minor scratches and smooths them out. I recommend doing it in this order after a good wash job = 1)Use a cleaner wax to remove oxidation. 2)A good paint polish to add the oils back to the paint. 3) Use the Scratch-X to fill in the fine swirl marks. 4) Then use a good quality carnauba wax of your choice to put the final layer of protection on the paint. Hope all of this works for you!!
Don't get wax and polish mixed up. Polish adds oils back to the paint that bring out the pigment color and makes it shine more. Wax puts a protective layer over the paint, kinda like a renewable clearcoat.

Message: I would recomend safe cut buy 3M you can get it at any body shop supply store. It is realy fine and it is what most shops use to wheel out clear coat. If your cratchs are realy fine just try some Zymol cleaner wax. You can buy it at Wal-Mart and it is one of the best waxs I have used. Zymol is realy mild and does not have any petrolem distillates in it.
