Subject: PIAA Fog Lights???

Message:
Just want some opinions on PIAA fog lights. I wanna get a set of 510's for the factory locations in the air dam. I have a set of Pilot lights in there now, and they suck. A month after I installed them one cracked and now is burned out.

PIAA makes excellent products but they're expensive. I'm curious, why did your Pilots crack? Was it a rock hit? Nothing will stand up too that. The location of the fogs is pretty bad for that. I've lost 2 on the driver side and 1 on the passenger side to that.

I still don't konw what cracked the light. I washed the truck one day, it was fine. I took it to work the next day (all highway driving). When I got home I noticed it was cracked. So to this day I'm guessing it was a rock or something.

I have a 98 Dakota Sport and I replaced my oem fog lights with the PIAA 1000X Platinums and I love them. They were a little high in price, but they are worth every penny! I have had them for about 2 years now and have only replaced one bulb. I have even had them submerged while 4 wheelin at night, not realizing how deep the puddles where that i was driving through. and they still held up. And they light up the road nicely at night.
