Take a look at the German Boycott List. Dodge is right up there. Seems most people agree Dodge is no longer American.
How does it make everyone here feel knowing that you are supporting a company that put it's oil interests above doing the right thing and supporting America on the Iraq issue.
My next truck will be an all American GMC.

I feel no different. I still like my Dodge truck over ANY Ford or GM product.
And while your talking about buying American, you'd better not be talking about Harley Davidson. Their wiring harness is imported.

So what if Harley imports their wiring from Mexico. Dakotas have Mexican harnesses and engine castings and suspension (which is why the ball joints always fail) but Harley Davidson is American owned and the profits stay here.
Dodge is foreign owned and the profits go back to Germany, a Saddam loving nation and supporter. That's the point. The trucks may be built here but the company building them is foreign and Saddam loving.
Foreign ownership of our manufacturing sector is the thin end of the wedge. When foreign companies own enough of our industries foreign governments can hold our economy hostage and begin to dictate our foreign policy. At that point we've surrendered our sovereignty.
Too many of my family died fighting Germany in 2 wars for anyone to label these concerns as "Stupid politcal, juvenile, bul$hit anyway". You really are a fukcing retard for dismissing this in such a way. But what do I expect from a bunch of foreigner loving Saddasm huggers anyway.

And how much of the electronic stuff you're typing your notes on were built over in Japan? They were just as involved with WWII as Germany was.
Time to scoop up all of your TV's, VCR's, Cameras, Camcorders, Japanese Automobiles, CPU's, Monitors, Memory Sticks, Playstations, Game Boys, and all those other household appliances with japanese content and throw em all right in the trash!
Where's the boycotts against Honda, Toyota, Sony, etc?

It is all about "Wall Street & Stock Performance". If an American Company can be sold to a foreign concern, and it rallies the stock on the news, it is seen as a good thing. Blame it on the "get rich today" mentality. What about tomorrow?
America also thinks it can survive sending all manufacturing jobs overseas, thereby becoming a "service" economy. The philosophy was --- let someone else make it cheaper --- we will sell SERVICE (Marketing, Legal, Advertising, Consulting, Tourism, Conventions, etc.)Well, the service industry is where all the suffering economically is taking place today due to certain FEARS: terrorism, war, SARS, etc., and a global "mind shift" in the foolishness of consumerism. I mean --- how many GAP shirts and Khaki's do you really need? Why do you need the latest technology? Why should someone trade trucks every 3 years? So much for this rational also.

Well,
aside from some, I'm impressed that Mercedes Benz an Dodge are owned by the same company and am proud to own one.
The 4.7 is one of the best production 8 cylinder engines ever put in a truck. Not to mention the new Hemi. If you can't do anything about, don't complain, and if you can, do it.
All that political crap sucks right now, but war is inevitable, and it'll always bring out differences in opinions, and there'll always be somebody that doesn't like yours, so if you don't like Dodge because they're owned by a renowned company with one of the best reputation's on the planet, then buy a Chevy.
