Message: am having the same problem, except PCM has already been
replaced TWO times by the dealer. How can this keep happening?
It's such a f---ing rip off. I bought my 02 quad cab dakota used
with only 39,000 miles on it and now it's only at 45,000 miles. I
want to sell it, but can't with that damn light on. No wonder i got
such a great deal on it. (8000.00) . Is there seriously no other way
to get the light off? Come on, somebody throw me a bone, please!

Message: Disconnect your negative battery terminal, then
disconnect all three connectors on the PCM, clean
the connectors with electronic cleaner spray
(aerosol), let them dry out a few minutes, make sure
you clean both sides, then: while negative is still
disconnected, turn key in ignition to start position
as if you're trying to start the vehicle, for 30
seconds. This will reset the PCM/ECM unit, the
yellow light will disappear but if the PCM is bad
inside it will return after the next start usually.

Message: NOTE: I should mention: make sure you reconnect the
PCM first, then turn the ignition key over as if
you're trying to start it, then reconnect the
negative after you've held the key in start for 30
seconds.

Message: Thank you Andrew. Unfortunately, I ended up selling the truck
to a dealership before i received your post. I'm curious to know if
that trick would have worked. Regardless, I'm disgusted with our
current state of zombism. Why do we continue to put up with all
the b.s. charges these corporations bombard us with day after
day. If we could just allow ourselves to think more intuitively,
we'd see that so much of what we are told and what we believe
are lies designed to keep us dumbed down. I don't know about
you, but I can't take much more. I hope this world can wake the
f*** up soon. Cause i'm afraid that later will be too late. Thanks
for making the effort to help. It reaffirms my belief that there
are still good people out there, who care and are willing to help
those in need. So, for the third time, thank you Andrew. I'll be
sure and pay it forward!

Message: IMPORTANT NOTE: P0601 is almost ALWAYS caused by
bad battery, bad ground(s), or bad wiring on
things connected directly to PCM(like injector
harnes) blowing "drivers" or causing wrong data to
be logged. PCMs don't cause P0601 themselves..
