Subject: Which wheels?

Message:
I plan on getting some new wheels for my 93 4x4 Dakota after I get a 3" body lift. Can any one suggest some good wheels for 31x10.5" tires? I dont want to spend alot of money so I will take some not so fancy wheels just to keep the total cost around $500. They need to be tough because they will see some offroad duty. I am not sure the width of the stock ones but I know they are 15".

Andrew, pick up a copy of 4Wheel and Off-Road, they have lots of pictures and prices, find something that is in your budget.

I would recommend something steel, probably the black rock crawlers since they are budget conscious.

The stock rims are 15x6 or 15x7, should check the inside of the driver's door for the manufacturers tag, it will be listed in there.

Your stock truck can take 31s without anything but trimming the front air dam. If you go 3 in up, you can fit 32s, or get 16x7 rims and get 265/75-16 which are just shy of 32".

Don't go too wide on the rim, you need that tire bulge to protect the lip off road. 8" is wide enough, no more.
