I am interested in purchasing a Dakota R/T Hood for my '92 Dakota from AAR Quality Fiberglass Reproductions, and need an opinion. If any one has seen on of these hoods on a Gen II Dakota please let me know. All comments on the hood are welcome, good or bad. Thank you.

One proud Gen II Dakota owner!

hello
don't waste your money because it wouldn't fit! because 1997 was the first year of the body change so anything before 1997 is not the right fit! because my brother has a 1994 dakota and i myself own a 1997 dakota and most of the aftermarket product are most made for 1997- up dakota! so good luck for you to find stuff

sorry

Yeah I have an R/T and I've been looking through some sports truck magazines for some nice mods and I've seen 2 selections....the S.S. hood which basically has just the one scoop kinda like on the new mustang GT's and then therez the Ram air hood which has 2 scoops on it. The magazine I saw it in was 'Truckin' magazine. Hope that helps.

the hood is called the R/T hood, thats the name AAR gives it, i think it looks great on them, you should probably get the front spoiler they make too, it would make a nice addition, and the R/T hood is the incorrect name, it should be called a rallye hood, since it is like the ones put on the challenger rallyes in the 70s, so steve is incorrect

he said "dont waste your money because it wouldn't fit! because 1997 was the first year of the body change so anything before 1997 is not the right fit! because my brother has a 1994 dakota and i myself own a 1997 dakota and most of the aftermarket product are most made for 1997- up dakota! so good luck for you to find stuff"
he thought that Jon was talking about a Dakota R/T hood, which is the same hood as on the rest of the dakotas, if he had looked at the company's hood, he would have realized that Jon was talking about the AAR "R/T" Hood, not the factory-made same-as-all-the-rest Dakota R/T hood, oh, and it fits great, I have seen it on some 91-96 (GEN 2) Dakotas, AAR makes good products, so if steve had his facts straight, i would not have said he was incorrect, but he was incorrect
