MY 97 DAKOTA NEED A BED, I CALL THE DEALER THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD COST $2500.00 FOR A NEW BED,ANYONE KNOW ANY PLACE I CAN GET A CHEAPER PRICE FOR MY TRUCK BED??
I TRY CALLING SOME OF THE JUNK YARD BUT NONE HAS A CLEAN ONE,ALL OF THERE BED HAS SOME DAMAGE..

Best thing to do is to find a shop in your area that does bed conversions for construction trucks. those are the guys who take a regular truck take off the bed and install a C tec r a similar style work body. those guys usually have a bunch of beds on the lot and want to sell them cheap cause they take up space

I also need a bed for my 98. I live in northern AZ. How do I find a shop? I have already tried to online, but just found shops that will sell new construction beds but make no mention to selling the original ones.

i also need a bed, best if it could be black, i only really need to replace the rear quarter panel but those are welded on and it would be difficult to weld in a new one and make all the lines perfect.

Justy those are the guys who have the used beds in stock. some of them deal straight with the dealer so the trucks come in without beds but most of the companies remove the beds and install the work body on and then they throw the regular truck bed on a rack. call them and ask if they keep the old beds they take off

Just curious... why don`t you go to a body shop and have it fixed , instead of trying to find a whole complete bed?
Any good shop could replace a bedside with no problem at all.

hey i need a black bed for a 97, i could have my bodyshop do it but it has a few big dents inside from hauling some stuff a few yrs ago and where the rollpan was, its dented in. wouldnt mind a fresh new one

The body shop wanted to charge about $2300 for the repair, and I figure that I might as well get a good (never really been used) used bed for the same price. Not to mention it would be faster than having them do all the body work and paint it again. Then I will have two beds. One that I can sell to the junk yard for some money to be reimbursed.

YES! I got a 2003 Dodge Dakota truck bed, silver.
Almost no scratch, Located in South Carolina; delivery available. Also have a matching bed cover with key. This is a king cab. Also have a four door bed but not perfect. genwoo
