hey guys, I just got a 2003 dak. It didn't come with the overhead trip computer, but it has the slot there in the overhead console for it. Is the wireing already there for it ? could I just buy one and plug it in ? or is something else needed ? maybe someone has the scoop on this. thanks.

No the wiring is not there .... to add it you will have to splice it into your truck .... and it being a 2003 .... do you really want to void the warranty on the harness?

Hang on. If you got the SLT you might have the wiring. It's cheaper and easier to buy one of them compas/temp/auto dimming mirrrors from JC Whiney. Ford and GM use them in their vehicles and you can take it with you to your next vehicle.

After finding the temp sensor wire under the hood i pulled down the console and part of the headliner no wires seems that there are partial wires all over place.just like heated mirror wires on doors but no wire in dash for switch.
