 Subject: 365 for a Line X under the rail??

I went to my local Line X dealer today to schedule a time to get my 6.5 foot Dakota bed sprayed. He said it would cost 365 for a under the rail job and 425 for a over the rail job. Does that sound right? I decided not to though, Im just gona get a Dodge bedliner I do believe. Thanks!

If you mean a drop in liner, please research it, if you haven;'t already.
I've had both, the drop in first obviously, there are many more advantages to a good spray in.
Depending on the market in your area, that may be a competitive price.

I have a drop in bedliner and can't wait to get rid of it. It has skuffed my paint all up. I'm getting a spray in bed liner here in a month or so. Then probably an extang tonno.

I got a quote from the local shop here. I've got a QuadCab and they are quoting me at $399 for over the rail. They said it would be the same for a regular bed. They said the size of the bed doesn't make that much of a difference between the regular bed and the smaller QC bed. Most of the labor is in scuffing up the bed and masking off the truck.

The local RhinoLiner charged me $450 for under the rail in my 5.3 ft Quad Cab. If they'll do your truck for $375, go for it.

Local San Jose, CA Line-X dealer quoted me $485 for under rail in 5.3ft QC. Sounds like you're getting a great deal. Where are you?
Don't get a drop in, waste of money. I have had two in less than a year. If I were smart, I would have started w/ a spray in and be out the same amount of money.

I paid $38/ea for a pair of stall mats. These are 1" thick rubber mats that have an excellent amount of grip. They're used in horse stalls. I simply used a utility knife and a metal straight edge to cut them.
I don't really care about the insides of the fenders getting a little scratched, but after a year and a half the bed isn't, and stuff doesn't slide around. Like cement mixers, vibrating plate compators, and cabinets.

Hey Johnathan, I have a mopar under rail bedliner that I'll sell for 100.00! I ordered it with my truck in 2001, and it cost me 290.00 buck's. It has been under a bed cover since new. I did make a strait cut on the tail gate cap so it wouldn't show past the cover. It will go on with double faced tape that I'll give you, and look good as new. I don't haul any thing so it's in great condition. I want to put a rug in my bed so I'm looking to give someone a good deal! thats about average price for a spray in bedliner.
I personally own a Vortex spray on liner business and I charge 365 for under the rail and 395 over the rail thats for a short bed and it doesnt matter if its a full size or mini truck.( I usually give a discount just to make the price better)To me it makes little difference if you want to go over or under the rail. i basically charge you something for the material. Masking and wire taping it is not that much of a hassle. Look into some other spray on liners and see what their prices are and then take those prices to lineX if youre set on it and they should be willing to match it.

got a linex under the rail for roughly 365 in seattle. drop in wont protect your bed from the weather and such.

That is about what I would have paid for mine (N. Alabama) had I got it in black. I paid $100 more to get it in the same color as my truck. I have that deep red (garnet??) and they got very close with the bedliner. It looks sharp.
If you will actually be hauling stuff with your truck, have them put the liner over the top of the tailgate. That little trick has saved many a scratch on my truck.
