do all R/T's come stock with posie-trac? im jus curious...and yes, i know its a dumb Q. also, what is the stock rear end diff. what one is faster for excelleration? does that decrease gas mileage? thanks.

For the most part all R/T's came with 3.92 Posi rear ends. A handful of trucks did come with 3.55 gears in the earlier years but they're relatively few and far between.

.. Do a smokey burn out. If you light up one tire = you don't have posi/limited slip. If you light up both = you do :)
You can also put one tire on the pavement, and one on dirt, and accelerate a little hard, and see if the tire on the dirt spins more the pavement on does,,,this saves on tires,,but where's the fun?

All RT's have the anti-spin diff. 9.25".
Sometimes the one wheel on pavement trick won't work-- Easiest way (2 actually)... Jack up the rear off the ground (or during your next brake job-- due to all of the power braking you've been doing ;) with gear selector in neutral-- spin a tire-- if both go the same direction, you have the anti-spin diff (plus in your glove box it should be listed on an option sheet)-- if they go in the opposite direction, you have an 'open' diff...
