I raced a RC 4x4 hemi tonight in my kenne bell R/t. they shure made them hemis tough eh? we were neck and neck from launch to 100, im almost ready to trade in my R/T them new rams on 20's shure are sweet.

So let me get this straight - you're saying a 5000+ pound 4X4 naturally aspirated Hemi Ram kept up with your supercharged R/T from 0-100mph???

Either he had a nitrous bottle you didn't see, or something is seriously wrong with your truck.

i have to agree with ginther if everything is stock with the hemi it seems that your truck is junk

I find that very odd because the company i work for has just replaced some of the older fleet with 2- 3/4 ton hemi trucks(QC)1 QC 1/2 ton and a RC long box 1/2 ton with the hemi engines and the only one that keeps close is the RC and it's got 4500 miles on it already so I'm sure it is broken in or close.Your truck is pooched man!

Even the RC 2WD Hemi trucks aren't quite as fast as a bone stock R/T... Close but not quite. If a 4x4 was able to hang with you then either they weren't stock or you've got some serious tuning issues.

It just shows you what a piece of junk the R/T is! All this talk about how the R/T can be made to run with the Lightning and it can't even beat a Hemi full size 4X4! LOL!

My truck does have tuning issues it runs lean on 3psi put still puts down 250 rwhp 350 rwtq, witch is nearly the same as the hemi, centerfugals suck and fords suck almost as bad as people who come to dak forums to flame them, Ill have my tuning issues sorted out after i get $2000. The hemi is a badass motor and if you have'nt test drove one yet you should but when hemi daks are out ill be the first to trade in.

FWIW, a RT'er on the delphi site test drove a RC 1500 hemi, and he said the bottomend was not that great, and the topend was similer to the RT (good for a fullsize) but geez dude, you lossed to a 4x4! thats like loosing to a F150

Damn man ur RT must be fuct, i beat a 1500 Hemi the other night by 2 cars at 65, and im a slow 2002 Chubby Cab with knn, m1, tb, and exhaust, maybe you should listen to eric, he is a non vtec single cam..

But after i spend the 2g on a fmu, its smooth sailing. The reason it sucks so bad is the sc was installed in the states before it got here to alaska and the kb comp is improperly tuned and i want something i can have tuned on the dyno here. and i like the kb for the generous tourq and accel. The only reason id get a centrifical is if i wanted more than 20 psi, and i think 20 psi will put me in the 12's were i want to stay. btw there are only 3 r/ts in our state and i have the only one in my town so i dont got anyone to tell me my truck is slow as $h!t, thanks for the input :)

2 g's on a FMU???!!! is it platnium plated with dimond screws? for a little more cash, you can have the FAST program or the accel DFI gen 7, and controll everything.

your math is about right... it would take about 20lbs of boost to put YOUR truck in the 12's (its probably in the 20's right now), but others have gone 12's with only 9lbs of boost on a centrifical.

You'll have to invest in a lot more than just an fmu if you want to run 20lbs of boost.

2000 4.7 CC auto, clear corners, Magnaflow catback, Kenne Bell s/c.

I just had a Kenne Bell installed on my 00 qc 4.7 auto. I'm running 8 psi. Friggin amazing!!!! I haven't raced a hemi ram yet but i can't see a way in hell that he'd touch me!!!!!
