Subject: FLDak!!!!!! Posi-Trac Question?? IP: Logged
Message: You mentioned an OEM positrac unit for $200 in a previous post and I was wondering where you got it from and how you put it in, or how much it costs to have it put in if it's extremely difficult.. I've never shimmed gears or any of that....

Message: chrysler doesnt use posi-trac. thats chevrolet. chrysler uses sure-grip and the new carries have Trac-Lok stamped on them. you can buy a carrier from your local dodge parts or id say buy one from randys ring and pinion.

Message: mjhipp,
I purchased all my parts from:
SPEED UNLIMITED, INC.
210 New Warrington Road
Pensacola, FL 32506
850-455-1341 or 800-874-8655
Talk to Tony
On my reciept it says 'Factory Posi unit' it cost $200.00.
I paid a mechanic to install the gears & the posi for $250.00. I have never shimmed gears and done any rear diff work either, thats why I paid someone that knew what he was doing to do the job.
slow2dak,
I did not look that close at the posi/trak-loc/sure-grip, I just know both wheel spin now instead of one. Not being disrespectful.
Texas Todd,
Sorry for the misunderstanding, but I'm not selling anything.
