 Subject: Ford cap on my Dak?

I went to my parts store today to get a cap and rotor for my 2001 3.9 CC and the gut hands me a cap that clearly says Ford on the box. I give it back to him and he double checks the number and says it's right.
It was a wells ProSeries or ProGold or something like that. Red cap with brass terminals but it clearly said Ford on the box. I think the # was F2129G or there abouts. Sorry I can't be specific, my brain is mush right now.
Any help is appreciated.
