Can anyone help me get type to me the truck that im looking for? I dont know too much about detail and interior stuff and probably a disgrace being here, but ive been a dakota freak for a long ass time cause they look tight and they fit me.
Im looking for a black dakota, with a chrome lining around the bottom around the car, what do they call that? and like the front wrack also being chromed out. Ext.cab, decked out interior (fully loaded). Automatic, 4-wheel drive.
Dual exhaust. Clothe interior, and im just looking for things like that.
right now i cant get the truck bcause im lost with the money, but i would scrub floors at Dodge dealerships or whatever just to get one. I live in Bryan Texas, and its killing me because i want one so bad
how many liters should be used for a power truck. like i want power also so that if i need to tow stuff i could do that with ease. v8 w/ how many liters?
And it would be nice to have it fast, i dont want toget a dakota sport, but like just the standard with some madd ass speed so i could smoke some guys
im in highschool, but im planning to get a dakota, so if you all could help me out that would be great.

I have an automatic tranny, and they suck!
Dodge can't make a good auto tranny. I have had many problems with it and am now looking at a tranny rebuild.
get a standard. worth every penny.

My advice: try actually researching dakotas through various web pages. Learn about the engine, the transmissions, the fuel economy, if you really need a 4x4 or just a heavy towing package and some good gears with a limited slip.
Oh yeah...and stop talking like an o-g funk kid with your hat on side ways. People will make fun of you. Put the highschool education to use and speak normal.

agreed, every mechanic ive talked to says that dodge automatics are trouble. My friends 1999 or so Ram with a 5.9 V8 just had the automatic go out, its at the dealer right now. also, a couple of years ago my parents had a base model Caravan, the tranny slipped like mad.

Regarding the Automatic, I have had good luck with my 98 5.2L 4x4 with an Auto. I pull a 26ft Travel Trailer with no problems. Have the auxillary cooler, have fluid changed and bands adjusted every 30K, runs great. Had an automatic problem with a 87 Dakota, V6. Also had problems with the Automatic in a 91 AWD and a 97 AWD Caravan. Have a 2002 T&C but it only has about 3500 on it. Time will tell.

Dude, sounds like you want a ClubCab, 97up, v8... after that you can do what ya want..
Sport, standard no chrome, black or body colored bumbers, decal sticker "SPORT"
SLT has Chrome bumpers/trim on the hood/grille, plus some package goodies sound/locks/windows...
The chrome around the bottom must be an add on.
4.7 V8 is Overhead cam, 5.2 is the 318 block with fuel-injection, RT has the 360 block with fuel-injection
RT, is the already faster better looking version, lowered 1" from Sport/SLT, has a 360 V8, different rear gears..
Auto/Std. is your choice, auto on column is 3or 4spd with OD, stick is 5spd. on the floor..
ManyMany addon parts avail for all models..
