 Subject: high beams not

alright I put on my high beams and it got real bright then not so bright.

Checked it out on my garage door and found out that both filaments burn for a bit then the high beam filament burns.

so we only have the low filament on low then briefly both filaments then the high beam filament on high.

My question is --- on high beam why don't both filaments burn for max light.
