Subject: Trouble Code Help... IP: Logged
Message: My engine check light just came on, went down to Autozone had them run the OBD-II scanner and a 0455 code came up. Something about evaporation/ sensor?...Does anybody know what this could be? Sounds like a gas cap or something.

Message: ya mean the counter jerk could not tell you what it meant so he could sell you the part you need? If I was his manager, I would no longer be his manager as he would be fired. It is not your gas cap. There is a sensor in the charcoal evaperative(gas Tank emissions system) that is either bad or is indicating the charcoal evaperative canister needs replaced.

Message: I checked all the hoses from the system and they look fine, no cracks or anything, so i decided to go ahead and replace the gas cap. After doing so, the check engine light is still on. Does it automatically go away is the problem is fixed or must the computer always be reset whenever the light comes on?
