Subject: removing stock headlights

Hey all, i've got a 2000 cc. I just bought my euro headlights, and i've never removed the stock ones before. i've taken off the three main bolts without removing the bumper, but i can't seem to dislodge the ball joint...is there a trick in doing this? is there something more that's mounting the light? or am i just not pulling hard enough?

Jagdak,
I just took mine off, just pull hard.

I took the corners off first then the three mounting bolts.
the light was then loose exept for the one plastic fitting. I tried pushing from the other side but then I just moved all the light bulbs and yanked it out.
good luck

alright i got em off, and i was right just yank as hard as you can, if you break the plastic sock for the ball joint don't worry b/c the lights came with new ones. i did use the stock rubber spacer though because they held the light tighter. does anyone know how to rewire the signals? do i just splice em and use electrical tape?

I used crimp connectors and soldered them with heat shrink to seal it. Last thing is to wrap it all in electrical tape as I cut the stock wire tube back 4 inches to access the wires. Check out the pics here.
