OK Dude I am pretty sure my aunt wants to buy this. But for now she want the truck to be running until the part comes in. So if I have a truck with AC, and power steering, and I want to bypass the AC, what part number belt do I need? I went to the store, and got one for a Dakota with no AC, but it was a few inches too short, apparently the accessory bracket may be different on truck with no AC from the factory. Shoot me an email cashdudehomie@webtv.net, and if I can get that belt to bypass the compressor, then I will go ahead and tell my aunt to get a money order. Thanks man.

why buy a new belt, if you do not turn on the ac or the defrosters the ac clutch will not engage, so if the old ac pump is jammed up or something nothing bad will happen. Buying a new belt is a waste of money compared to making sure the heat/cool switch is set right.

slopehead is correct on this. If the A/C clutch isn't engaged...there's really no HP loss at all. (It spins freely)

No dudes, the pulley is totally locked up, and since I can buy that one for 50 bucks, I could just take the whole old one off and bolt this on with no special tools, or labor charges. I think the bearing or clutch is bad, but the pulley will not budge at all.
