Subject: electric fan install - HELP! IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 3.9L with the wiper fluid resevior and radiator overflow built into the fan shroud. I also have the factory electric fan. I'm not too wild about just relying on the factory electric fan and am thinking about moving it to the front of the radiator and making it a pusher and installing a Black Magic fan and mount it where the factory electric fan was. Has anyone done this? Anyone else had this problem?

Message: Heeyyyyy, rrraaaabbbbbbiiiiitttttttt,
sorry, had to do that.
On the larger v8, with the dual fan set-up, you don't NEED any other fans when you take the belt driven viscous fan off. Installing a 180 degree t-stat is easy, cheap, and recommended.
That statement applies to HOT climates.
Suit your self-(do what you want), but sounds like ALOT of UN-necessary work for nothing.

Message: The stock E-fan is more than enough to keep your V-6 cool. If it will keep a SC'd 408 stroker cool, it will keep a V-6 cool.
