I never got an owners manual with my 98 CC 3.9. I was just wondering what pressure to keep my tires at? This is my first truck, and I allways kept my car tires at 32psi. Is the same for my Dak? Thanks.

The decal on the door post reads 35, but the local tire shop says 38.

Depends on the type of tire....
the load on the truck....how it's driven....
Are you looking for better ride quality....
increased mpg.... All this and alot more
goes into tire psi....the sticker on the door
is a recommendation by the manufacture of the vehicle and the stamping on the sidewall of the tire is a max psi figure that the tire manufacture doesn't want you to exceed when the tire is cold.....I keep it within 3 to 5 psi of the door sticker....sometimes higher, 37-39, sometimes lower 30-32.... '00 Gen III I believe is 35 frt and rear for a rc 1,240 lbs rating....Then again, ever had your tires "read"?

I think I run the fronts at 36 and the rears at 33, I don't remember for sure though. I just adjust them until the car's balenced and feels right. (currently I have two different size tires on the front/rear)

I go by the notice on the sidewall of the tires... the door sticker recommended 35 but the tires themselves said 42 (I think) so I added some. No real difference in ride quaility, maybe a touch more "bounce" in the back similar to when the truck is low on fuel. Hope my mileage increases (I know... wishful thinking)!

When I had 245/60/15's on the front and 275/60/15 on the rear I ran 40 in the front and 24 in the rear. This gave me even wear and good handling. Now with 255/60/15 all around I run 38 front and 28 rear, and I always increase the rear when hauling a load.
