Message: ok, just got done removing the rubber flap by the pass headlight and moving the IAT sensor to the intake tube(still stock air intake), just thought i would leave my little tip for this, the stock tube is rubber, so only drill the hole 3/8 and push the sensor in, the fit is nice and snug and you can have a nice air/water tight seal, but still as a precaution i ran a bead of silicone around it.......again this is for the stock air intake setup........

Message: NOw go get one of those 'for Sale' signs (just hang on here, NOT for your truck),
the kind that's about 4-5 $ and thick, double walled plastic with a air space inbetween, and make and 'air damn', that only allows the bulk of the air from the front, and fender well area, instead of the engine compartment.
I did this and you can put your hand on each side of the insulated wall and feel a temp. difference.
You can cut the sign to the pieces you'll need with a razor knife, scissors, etc. and it's flexible enough to ben it and get it just right.
I made a floor, and side wall and back wall so 95%+ of the air is now tru clod air.
**Actually, the snorkel in the fender well IS a good set up from the factory. We're really getting nothing 'ram air' about it as far as induction is concerned.
