Subject: water leak..need help!! IP: Logged
Message: i have a 98' dakota cc and have had a water leak problem on the passenger side. Thought it was the a/c drainage and the water would come back through the firewall and leak into the cab. Fixed that problem and have been on a couple roadtrips so i know it isn't that. Went out of town this week and left the truck, got lots of rain(hasn't rained hard in S. Fla. in a while) and when i got back passanger side carpet was soaked. ANYONE ELSE WITH THIS PROBLEM PLEASE HELP!!!

Message: Had same problem with mine and posted the fix. On the cowl under the black plastic panel is a body seam in the corner beside the air intake for the heater/ac. They are poorly sealed from the factory. I used a long thin piece of wood and applied epoxy to cover up the seam. Then sprayed the area with undercoating. Have had that problem again. Hope this helps. Good luck.
