my A/C clutch wont engage...i was wondering the cheapest way to fix this...the shop said they could put a new clutch in but thats $250 alone for the clutch then id have installation...but a friend said i could put a whole new compressor on off of a dak at a junkyard then jus fill it back up with the freeon stuff with a charger from autozone...is that possible? if so can anyone give me all the steps i need to do so? thanks in advance...

I have a compressor for sale off of a 99 dakota RT. I took my whole AC system off, so I no longer need it. It has the pulley on it. It worked great when I took it off, so I am assuming it still works great. Make me a reasonable offer if you are interested.

I checked around and it looks like all of the part numbers for the 3.9 and 5.9 compressors are the same. I am almost positive that this will work on your truck, but you may want to call a dealer just to make sure.

I just called my chrysler dealer and they said that a compressor off of a 5.9 would fit on a 3.9. If you are interested, let me know.
