Message: first, are they polished or painted. If they are polished, just hit the local parts store for some aluminum wheel polish. It's got a very very fine abrasive that will clean up tarnished surfaces and return the wheels to brand new condition. They also make it for chrome wheels. If they're painted, chances are that brake dust has taken it's toll. If you really want them done right, you should have them glass bead blasted. then use an aluminum etching solution before you repaint. The best way to go is the newer urethane basecoat/clearcoat method. Pay careful attention to details, and you will be rewarded with wheels that shine above the rest!
