Could someone give me an estimate of how much these tonneau covers would be for a 6' bed? Never owned a truck before and I heard these covers will help with gas mileage.

Thanks you!

I just purchased an A.R.E LS II, I don't have mine yet, but my cousin has one on his 2000 4x4 SLT and it's one great looking cover. They're spendy, mine was $729 but I'm getting a discout through the dealer I bought my Dak from so I'm getting it for $629..hope that helps give you an estimate.

I have the stockland.. in MHO the best looking hard tonneau. I paid about 650 for it. I ordered it directly from stockland and paid less than Traders etc.. wanted. Funny thing is, Traders and several other dealers in Truckin' sell the exact same Stockland cover under their own name... but for much more $$$ If you get a hard tonneau, and have it delivered, make sure you have it delivered to a business address... it will be about $25 cheaper.

I gained MPG from it, but it is hard to tell how much, since I did alot of mods at the same time. I went from about 17 on hiway to about 20 after all my mods.

I have an Extang platinum tonneau cover and am pleased with it.

1. Very EASY to install. Took me a total of 35 minutes.

2. Economical and won't bust your wallet. I paid $219 from a local dealer.

3. Easy on, Easy off. Snaps into place. Only problem is in the cold weather. The vinyl tonneau contracts pretty quick. It's a PITA to try to restretch the vinyl in cold weather.

4. MPG's. Since your bed is now aerodynamic, consequently you get a few more MPG's. I got an increase of 4 MPG with the tonneau

Can you guys give me some more info on your soft covers such as the manufacturer and installation requirements. I want to go with a clean install and minimal drilling into the bed. Advice??

I have the one that is hinged and will lift about 30". On it's own frame. No drilling, attaches with 4 clamps. I am just north of Tampa , Florida. $285 incl. tax and installed. If that helps, e-mail me and I'll send you the dealer's name & number. He would probably ship it to you.

i got a pace edwards roll top cover for 505.00. it is great, i like it better then the roll n lock, because you don't have to mount anything on the tip of the tailgate. it looks clean and very neat. rolls up out of the way in about 3 seconds. i highly reccomend it, you will not miss the 500 beans it costs, well worth it.

hey Brian U, was it easy to install? Any drilling? How weather/water tight is it?

Thanks

Don't forget the Advance folding tonneau.

Open the front, the rear, fold it up against the cab, one-person removal, hard-cover security.

I'm totally pleased with this one.

Put in a Pace Edwards roll top about a month ago. To save the $120 installation fee, I got it on in about 4 hours, (taking my time). Love it, and it helps gas mileage by about 5-7%. Some drilling into rails along the sides and at the front of the box. Good luck

the pace edwards roll top cover was not hard to install. took me about 5 hours including install of bushwacker bed rail and tail gate guards. i would say it is about 90% water proof, which is plenty good for me, considering how easy it is to unrole and gain access to the bed.
