Message: anybody know the right type of locking gas cap that fits the 2000 dakota without making the check engine light come up? screw in style, 2 nitch cam, 3 notch cam?

Message: Bought one from dealer $26.00 Canadian for it. Engine check light came on once then stopped. Told the dealer they said its just the emission sensor, hasn't come on since.

i fixed the problem by resetting the pcm and putting back my old cap...but i'd really like to get a chrome locking that wont set off the stupid light. any ideas?

Message: I also have the dealer locking cap... NO PROBLEMS!! It sounds like the dealer is the way to go. I think I payed $13.00 for mine.
