No as long as you keep your tires rolling diameter the same or as close as possible then you shouldn't have a problem. So say the 15" tires is 28 inches tall then the 17" should be 28 inches tall or close too that alot of the websites will give you the dimensions of the tire. I personally use the www.TIRERACK.com they have a awesome selection of tires and excellent customer relations,they should be able to help you out in your selection
