I'm looking for a third brake light that has two cargo lights on both sides of the brake light to install on my 1990 dakota. Looking at other trucks (without measuring), looks like a ford ranger or chevy pick up brake light might fit. The back of my cab has about 1 to 1.25 inches of flat surface between window and where it curves to the roof.
I've looked at lights at JCwhitney and Northern tools, but I dont want a inside light that sticks on the rear window.
Hope someone has already done this and can help! If not, any suggestions for what kind of light would fit? I'm hoping not having to spend the day at a junk yard with a ruler!
I know I will have to cut metal. I am going to hook it up to the brake pedal relay.

Would a 3rd brake light from a GenIII Dak work?? I have one out of my totaled out '99 R/T I can sell you. You'd just have to route power to the sockets, but I can remove most of the wiring harness for you.

I'm not sure if it would fit. Looking at picture of 99 dakota on the web, the area where the 3rd light is countoured out. I'll try to get a closer look at one and get back to you. Does the light look like it would mount on a flat surface? Where are you located? I'm in Atlanta GA area.
