Message: Hey guys.
I'm really stuck here. I have a really bad squeaking noise coming from the front of the truck while driving. I have replced the ball joints and lubed the sway bar bushings. I have no other ideas. The noise is really loud and very annoying.. Thanks

Message: Mine squeaks and sounds like prewear indicators on the brake pads but I put new pads on like 9k miles ago.
The squeaking goes away if I lightly touch my brakes too. I have pulled the calipers again to make sure everything was ok and it all looks fine.
I even used the proper stuff on the backs of the pads to prevent sqeaking.

Message: Nate ... Another idea. Take a look at the upper A arm bushings. Have someone the boune the front end up and down and listen. Sometimes they just squeak or maybe need replaced. If they are OK, give a little shot of something like Break Free lubricant. It won't hurt the rubber but will stop the noise.

I also had a very annoying problem with a squeak coming from the front of the truck, took me a LONG time to find it... was coming from where the steering shaft goes through the firewall, there is a rubber gasket there that likes to squeak. Hit it with some silicone lube from the engine compartment side (not easy to get to) and it cured my problem completely. Felt good because I had a lot of hours into finding it... and of course the dealer was worthless.

Message: My front brakes were squealing when just bearly hitting the brakes also. It was very annoying ,sounded like brake pads were wore out. This is the fix... Get some disc brake quietner or brake lube and put on all contact points in between pads and caliper..I did this at 7500 miles and have never heard noise since know at 17,000.Give this a try it will solve your problem. It only cost about .50 a pack at auto parts store.

Message: Thanks for all the info. I think the only thing I haven't tried is the steering shaft. I plan on doing that this weekend. I think it should be fairly easy considering I have a car lift. Thanks for all the info. I'll post if it clears it up.
