 Subject: oil pressure reading

i was wondering if it is normal to have your oil pressure right around the h mark on the gauge and then when ideling it is 1/2 between l and h
also if it is unusual what should i do to remedy the situation

We often like to know the year, and engine of the vehicle you're talking about.
But, sounds like it doesn't go below the 1/2 way mark on the gauge, right? Then no matter what the engine, it's O.K.

6,000 miles
6-cyl
never goes low but it seems to be kinda high
